Editor, Raye Green’s letters and memoirs
Bessie Raye Thompson Green (1890–1989) homesteaded in Saskatchewan, survived the Depression, worked in the garment industry and ran rooming houses in Vancouver. I transcribed and edited Raye’s letters and memoirs and wrote her story. I organized her photographs and documents and gave an illustrated talk on Raye’s extraordinary life. This project allowed Raye’s family to better understand their Nanna and the sacrifices she made to support her family. Read about my experiences editing Raye Green’s writing.
